The process

Four steps, zero heavy lifting for you

Upfront pricing

Starts at $90. Priced before we load.

Our minimum charge is $90 and a full 18-cubic-yard load is $900. Here is what sets your starting price and the handful of things that can move the final number.

Minimum charge

$90

Every job starts at $90. That covers a single item or a small pile — labor, transport, gas, mileage and dump fees included. From there, price is based on how much space your load takes in the truck at $50 per cubic yard, up to $900 for a full 18-cubic-yard load.

1/4 Load4.5 cu yd$225
1/2 Load9 cu yd$450
3/4 Load13.5 cu yd$675
Full Load18 cu yd$900

Prices are quoted upfront before we load. No fuel charges, no per-item add-ons, no surprise invoice after the truck leaves.

How much space it takes

We price by volume, not by item count. Bulky-but-light loads like fence panels or a torn-down shed fill the bed faster than tight, stackable boxes.

Weight and material type

Concrete, dirt, brick, shingles and other heavy debris are limited by truck weight, so those loads are quoted separately from standard volume pricing.

Access and labor

Ground-floor and driveway loads move fast. Second-story, tight stairwells, long carries or a load that has to be dismantled first takes more crew time.

Special disposal items

Mattresses, tires, refrigerant appliances, hot tubs, pianos and pool tables may carry added disposal fees or require extra labor and equipment. We explain any additional cost upfront, before we load anything.

Questions we get every week

Junk removal FAQs

Costs, cubic yards, same-day availability, what we can and cannot haul — answered straight, no sales pitch.

How much does junk removal cost in Alabama?

Ross's Junk Removal charges $50 per cubic yard. That price covers labor, transport, dump fees, gas and mileage. Smaller pickups, partial cleanouts and larger removal projects fall into different volume bands, and a full 18-cubic-yard truck is $900.

What is a cubic yard, and how do I estimate my load?

A cubic yard is a unit of occupied space. Our dump bed is 14 ft long and 4.5 ft tall, with a maximum volume of 18 cubic yards. Use the pricing slider to compare quarter, half, three-quarter and full-load bands, then send photos so we can estimate your actual debris accurately. Material type, density, shape and safe loading requirements can change the final volume.

Do you offer same-day junk removal?

Yes. Same-day and next-day slots are available across Calhoun, Etowah, Talladega, St. Clair, Shelby and Jefferson counties. Call or text photos early in the day and we will tell you honestly whether we can be there before dark.

Do I have to be home for the pickup?

No. Plenty of customers leave items in the driveway, garage or on the curb, confirm the price by text from a photo, and pay remotely once the load is on the truck. For inside cleanouts we just need access.

What can't you take?

We cannot haul hazardous waste: paint, solvents, motor oil, fuel, pesticides, asbestos, medical waste or full propane tanks. Tires, mattresses and appliances containing refrigerant are fine.

Do you recycle or donate what you haul?

Every load is sorted under our Think Green program. Metal, cardboard, electronics and appliances go to recyclers; furniture and household goods with life left get delivered to local charities. We do not resell items we remove — the landfill is our last stop, not our first.

Are you licensed and insured?

Yes — fully licensed and insured, which matters when a crew is carrying a treadmill or working on an active job site. Property managers and contractors can request a certificate of insurance before we arrive.
