Our Mission

My name is Ross Riba, owner and founder of Ross's Junk Removal. I'm an entrepreneur based in White Plains, Alabama, but I spent much of my childhood growing up in Virginia and California.

Growing up, junk removal was actually a service my family used fairly often. In larger cities, calling a company to haul away unwanted furniture, household items, or accumulated junk was normal. Years later, I never expected that those experiences—or one of the most difficult experiences of my life—would eventually lead me to build a junk removal company of my own.

After my mom passed away, I originally thought I would clean out her home myself.

She had a four-bedroom house and four storage units, all packed nearly to the brim with years of belongings. It was already an incredibly difficult time, and trying to figure out what to do with an entire lifetime of possessions made it even more overwhelming.

Eventually, I called one of the large national junk removal franchises for help. It took over a week just to receive a price, and when the quote finally came back, it was $17,000.

But what stayed with me wasn't just the price. It was how impersonal the entire experience felt.

To them, it may have been another cleanout.

To me, it was my mom's home.

These weren't simply things that needed to be thrown away. They were pieces of someone's life—memories, belongings, and decades of history. I felt like the compassion and understanding that should come with a situation like ours simply wasn't there.

That experience lit a fire in me to build something different.

I wanted to create a company centered around three principles: Honesty. Integrity. Transparency.

Those principles became the foundation of Ross's Junk Removal and continue to guide the way we do business today.

Whether we're picking up a single unwanted item or helping a family through an entire estate cleanout, we take every job seriously. Our customers deserve fair and transparent pricing, dependable service, clear communication, and above all else, respect.

We understand that sometimes junk is just junk. But sometimes it's the belongings of someone you loved. Sometimes it's the result of a difficult situation. Sometimes it's an entire lifetime that a family suddenly has to figure out what to do with.

I've been on the other side of that phone call.

I know what it feels like to need help, and I know how I wanted my family to be treated when we needed it.
